Nalgene is a brand of plastic products originally developed in Rochester, New York in the 1940s for laboratory use such as jars, bottles, test tubes, graduated cylinders, and Petri dishes. These products were shatterproof and lighter than glass, making them suitable for holding various substances at extreme temperatures.
The transition to manufacturing for outdoor use came some two decades later, when Nalgene labware developers who were hiking enthusiasts took the bottles with them on trips for being leak-proof and easy to carry.
Used by the U.S. Hockey team in 1980, Nalgene water bottles are now widely popular among athletes and travelers around the world. The bottles are BPA-Free, have high impact resistance, resists staining, does not retain odours, withstands sub-zero and boiling temperatures and are dishwasher safe.
Ideal for everyday use or adventuring, Nalgene’s wide range of BPA-free water bottles and containers are available online at Gearaholic.
