Camelbak is an original brand of hands-free hydration equipment that facilitates hiking, running, skiing and snowboarding. Their range includes a series of BPA-free water bottles.

Camelbak's hands-free hydration has its origins at "Hotter'N Hell 100”1989 in Wichita Falls, Texas. It was then that bicycle enthusiast Michael Eidson, a competitor in the hundred-mile road race, recognised the need for water to survive the race in the heat of the summer.

Well aware of the difficulties involved in drinking while cycling, as well as finding refilling stations for his water bottle, Eidson filled an IV bag with water and slipped it into a white tube sock. A thin hose and a clothespin to clamp the bag to himself completed the apparatus.

Camelbak has become indispensable to athletes and adventurers, allowing them to save time, effort and energy normally spent in retrieving their water bottles by hand—making hands-free, on-the-go drinking the new norm.
